Google just rolled out another broad core algorithm update from June 3 (which was pre-announced by Google’s Danny Sullivan.) And once again, the core ranking update was big. It wasn’t long before you could see significant impact from the update across sites, categories, and countries – so we are not alone here in South Africa. Some sites surged, while others dropped off a cliff.
According to RankRanger – “In terms of niches that have seen big effects from the update so far, gambling, finance and health have all been hit quite hard.”

What to expect
Sources and Credibility – It is essential that sources and citations are extremely important for some people. We know that some people say that if they see Wikipedia as a source, they immediately become skeptical.
Publish Dates – Ensure that dates are updated when reviewed and changed Original dates and updated dates should be kept.
Social Proof – When one sees lot of comments, then that means it must be a popular website. However, because of the onslaught of spam, the time involved in moderating comments remains important.
Author Expertise – Background of the writers.
Citing Sources – Several participants of an SEO research explained that just a link to a source, adding stats and facts backing up claims added authenticity to an article.
