Eskimo Joe's brings Italian-made slushie machines and epic flavoured syrups to South Africa.
With added vitamins and minerals, biodegradable cups & straws, and a sugar free range, EJ slushies are surprisingly healthy and bursting with flavour. You can find their product in retailers, hotels, resorts, restaurants, grocery chains, cinemas, and more.
This vibrant and fun-loving brand wanted to bring the essence of their products to social media and the digital world to impact in-store sales. The strategy focused on more than just roping in larger amounts of sales. Where slushies are traditionally marketed to younger children, EJ's aim was to begin to reach teenage and young adult audiences with the benefits and allure of their offering.
To this end, we created a campaign that would connect with the interests and concerns of the relevant age group while capturing the bright deliciousness of the brand. With clear and concise, fun messaging and popping imagery, our posts soon gained traction on various social media channels.
The direct influence of social media marketing on in-store sales can be hard to measure. We focused on brand awareness and engagement goals on social media to make the "new" audience aware of the excitement and benefits of the brand. Our goals were to heighten engagement on EJ pages and increase brand awareness in the age group, hopefully leading to more feet in physical stores.
